No. Frachtraum is a digital freight forwarder, not a freight exchange. Frachtraum is your contract party and therefore responsible for the entire transport. Our responsiblity is the organization and fulfillment of your transports. How does Frachtraum ensure the quality and service level of the freight carriers?
Frachtraum carefully checks every freight carrier in regard to their licenses and insurance protection. This ensures that only reliable freight carriers are found on our platform. Our goal is to offer the best service to our customers.
How is my shipment insured?
Every freight carrier on the Frachtraum platform is obligated to possess valid forwarding insurance. In accordance with the Allgemeine Deutsche Spediteurbedingungen ADSp (General German Forwarders' Conditions, more details here) freight carriers are liable for up to €10.00 per kilogram. In addition, you can book cargo insurance without any excess.
What kind of freight contract is concluded after commissioning?
At Frachtraum each transport is processed based on Allgemeine Deutsche Spediteurbedingungen ADSp (General German Forwarders' Conditions, more details here). There are slight adaptions with regard to our digital process handling. If you have any questions, please contact us.
How do I get a quote?
Just enter the shipment details and you will immediately receive a quote.
Can the price change?
The price will not usually change. However, if you undertake any changes after accepting the offer, it is possible that the price will change.
Who chooses the freight carrier?
With Frachtraum, you no longer need to examine your freight carriers or get any quotes. Our technology automatically assigns your job to the most suitable freight carrier. If you have preferred freight carriers, they will be given priority.
Who creates the consignment note / delivery documents?
Frachtraum creates the consignment note based on the details provided by the shipper. Additional delivery documents are attached to an order.
Does Frachtraum support the exchange of loading equipment?
The exchanging of loading equipment can be requested during the booking process. Non exchanged loading equipment will be automatically credited.
How does the billing process work?
After every successful delivery, you will receive an bill from Frachtraum. Transfer the amount to the account specified or grant us a direct debit mandate.
How can I give feedback?
After completing a shipment, we ask you to rate your experience with Frachtraum. This helps us ensure that only the best freight carriers handle your shipments. In addition, you can send us an email at email@example.com.
Frachtraum uses industry standards in order to safeguard your safety and to store your data securely. Our data centers are ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. Furthermore, we use SSL encryption for network communication.
Is Frachtraum locally limited?
At present, Frachtraum is limited to Europe.
